The anticipation builds as the Premier League and Electronic Arts (EA) unveil the latest chapter of the ePremier League. This thrilling competition is now part of the EA Sports FC Pro circuit, promising a riveting experience for fans and players alike.
The eighth season introduces a fresh format, with competitors vying for a share of the £100,000 prize pool and coveted slots at the 2026 FC Pro World Championship. Registration is now open for UK players aged 16 and above, offering a chance to represent their favorite online clubs.
Schedule and Format
The competition kicks off with three online Open Qualifiers, scheduled for November 26th-27th, December 3rd-4th, and December 10th-11th. These qualifiers are an opportunity for participants to climb the Club Leaderboards and secure a spot in the January Playoffs.
January 14th to 22nd, 2026, marks the Playoffs for successful EA FC 26 players, featuring a Double-Bracket Elimination format. This stage provides a direct path to the ePremier League’s Group Stage. Notably, clubs now have the option to sign players directly to the Group Stage through Fast Tracking. A club’s performance in this stage will dictate its seeding for the Knockout Stage.
The Group Stage is set for February 28th to March 1st, 2026, with clubs battling it out in one-on-one matches before advancing to the Knockout Stage. The season culminates with the Knockouts on March 28th and the Finals on March 29th, where one victorious team will claim the championship.
Exciting Developments and New Teams
Will Brass, Chief Commercial Officer of the Premier League, expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming season, noting its potential for dramatic storylines as top-tier and emerging talents clash. “We can’t wait to see the drama unfold once again on EA SPORTS FC 26 and find out who will be crowned this season’s ePremier League Champion.”
Adding to the excitement, new clubs are joining the ePremier League, aligning with their real-world performances. Leeds United, Burnley, and Sunderland, having been promoted last season, are now available for UK players to join. This integration reflects the dynamic nature of both the virtual and actual football arenas.
