Anything can happen when Big Brother wraps its pandemic-era season.

By Nate Millado

Big Brother will soon crown its Season 22 winner. Which All Star will end up walking out of the house a half million dollars richer: under-the-radar Meow-Meow, Enzo; comp beast Cody; or previous winner Nicole?

We'll find out on Oct. 28…but first. For 20 years, the BB finale has given us landslides, blindsides—and even wedding proposals! Right now, the only sure thing is that host Julie Chen Moonves will once again preside over the proceedings. Otherwise, as 2020 has proven thus far: Expect the unexpected.

Dominant Winners

Don't hate the player, hate the game—and sometimes players are just too good at the game. BB10 champ Dan Gheesling beat current All Star Memphis Garrett in a landslide, earning every single jury vote (7–0). Another BB legend, undercover cop Derrick Levasseur, is said to have played a "perfect" game, since he never received a single eviction vote all season en route to the BB16 crown.

Nail-Biting Results

For some winners, the victory came down to one juror's key. BB5's Drew Daniel, BB6's Maggie Ausburn, BB12's Hayden Moss, and BB13's Rachel Reilly all won by a 4–3 jury vote. BB20's Kaycee Clark edged out America's Favorite Player Tyler Crispen 5–4.

Romantic Proposals

We've seen our fair share of showmances that led to forever: BB11 winner Jordan Lloyd said "yes" to Jeff Schroeder—while Victor Arroyo got down on knee for BB18 winner Nicole Franzel—inside the BB house. But there have also been some jaw-dropping proposals on finale night: Mike "Boogie" Malin popped the question to Krista Stegall during BB2's season-ender, and Chris "Swaggy C" Williams and Bayleigh Dayton got engaged on BB20.

Bitter Juries

A season finale highlight has always been the Jury House deliberations, conducted by puppet master—and this season's "neighbor"—Dr. Will Kirby. And while most members can acknowledge (and appreciate) getting outplayed by the Final 2, some can forgive, but not forget. Take the legendary Dan Gheesling, who orchestrated his own funeral on BB13 and was so dominant throughout the season—but burned so many bridges that the jury handed the win to Ian Terry. Or how about poor BB3's Danielle Reyes, one of the best to never win. She played a masterful game, only to be done in by her Diary Room sessions.

Shocking Finishes

Speaking of bitter juries, poor Paul Abrahamian endured a bit of deja vu when he returned to the BB house a year later. A bad case of jury mismanagement possibly cost him a win against Nicole Franzel in BB18, and again versus Josh Martinez in BB19. The BB bridesmaid finished second twice with an identical 5–4 vote. It was heartbreaking—or rewarding—depending on how you felt about "Your Boy" Paul.

Epic Speeches

The Final 2 each have one last chance to sway the jury, and a well-delivered speech could make a $450,000 difference. One of the most memorable goes to BB2 winner, Will Kirby, whose confounding, condescending speech rubbed everyone the wrong way but still led to a victory.
