Calling all country music fans: It was a performance-packed night to remember when the 56th Academy of Country Music Awards aired live Sunday, April 18, on CBS. More than 25 artists delivered some unprecedented collaborations and surprising moments—with pandemic protocols in mind, of course—from three legendary Nashville music venues: the Grand Ole Opry, Ryman Auditorium, and the Bluebird Cafe. Hosted by 15-time ACM winner Keith Urban and New Female Artist of the Year nominee Mickey Guyton, the 56th ACM Awards showcased the genre's biggest names and emerging talent.
Four nominees for Entertainer of the Year—Eric Church, Luke Combs, Thomas Rhett, and Chris Stapleton—sang their hits (winner Luke Bryan did not perform, but appeared via video to accept the honor)—as did six-time nominee Maren Morris, who won her second consecutive Female Artist of the Year award. Missed the country kudos-fest? Catch up with this ultimate playlist featuring live performances from the 56th ACM Awards.
