Discovering A Starfleet Ship
Left to right: Zero, Rok-Tahk, Dal, Murf, and Jankom Pog.
Nickelodeon/Paramount+ ©2021, All Rights Reserved.
When a group of young aliens stumbles onto a Starfleet ship, they're bound to cause trouble. Though we know Starfleet ships are vessels for deep space exploration and gaining knowledge of the galaxy for the Federation, the young crew has no clue about this. Nonetheless, they board the ship, setting a course for adventure—and the chance to escape their planet.
A Familiar Face
Kate Mulgrew as Janeway of Star Trek: Prodigy.
Nickelodeon/Paramount+ ©2021, All Rights Reserved.
When they first board the ship, it's in quite a state. While they may be in over their heads trying to repair the non-working vessel, they won't be alone. Joining them is a holographic version of Kathryn Janeway (voiced by Kate Mulgrew reprising her iconic role from Star Trek: Voyager). She'll train the young voyagers to get the ship working and help them get off their planet to boldly go where no young crew has gone before.
And New Faces, Too. Meet Dal!
Brett Gray voices Dal.
Nickelodeon/Paramount+ ©2021, All Rights Reserved.
The rest of the cast is brand new, so let's meet them! The first young crew-member-to-be is voiced by Brett Gray. Dal is a 17-year-old of an unknown species. He's smug and sarcastic, but there's one thing you can bet on: He has a lot of hope.
Rok-Tahk
Rylee Alazraqui voices Rok-Tahk.
Nickelodeon/Paramount+ ©2021, All Rights Reserved.
This big gal is Rok-Tahk. Voiced by Rylee Alazraqui, she's a Brikar. While she may be a little shy, she has a big heart when it comes to animals.
Zero
Angus Imrie voices Zero.
Nickelodeon/Paramount+ ©2021, All Rights Reserved.
Voiced by Angus Imrie, Zero is a Medusan, a non-corporeal, genderless, energy-based life-form. Pictured above, Medusans appear to have a body ... but that's just a suit whipped up to avoid exposing themselves to others because anyone who sees a Medusan's true self will go mad.
Gwyn
Ella Purnell voices Gwyn.
Nickelodeon/Paramount+ ©2021, All Rights Reserved.
Having grown up on her father's mining planet, Gwyn, voiced by Ella Purnell, is a 17-year-old Vau N'Akat. After being surrounded by rocks and prison workers her whole life, she's eager to get out and explore the galaxy.
Jankom Pog
Jason Mantzoukas voices Jankom Pog.
Nickelodeon/Paramount+ ©2021, All Rights Reserved.
Comedian Jason Mantzoukas voices Jankom Pog, a 16-year-old Tellarite. As is common with his species, he's a bit ... argumentative. He'll gladly play the devil's advocate in a disagreement. (We all know one of those people, right?)
Murf
Dee Bradley Baker voices Murf.
Nickelodeon/Paramount+ ©2021, All Rights Reserved.
Let's be honest. Murf is the CUTEST. Voiced by Dee Bradley Baker, Murf is, well, a blob. Their age and species are unknown and they're indestructible, which is pretty darn cool. Oh, and they like to eat ship parts. NBD.
And We're Off!

With an endearing cast of characters old and new, this show is a perfect way to get kids aboard the Star Trek Starfleet. (But it's also fine to watch it yourself! Who could blame you after seeing Murf?)
