100 Thieves, a prominent name in the VALORANT esports scene, has made a significant roster change as they prepare for the 2026 season. The North American organisation has announced the departure of Alexander ‘Zander’ Dituri, marking yet another shift in their team dynamics. Zander’s Journey in VALORANT
Zander’s journey in the VALORANT esports landscape began in 2021 with SoaR Gaming. After a stint with Version1, he joined M80 in late 2022, where he achieved a second-place finish at VCT Ascension 2024. His skills caught the attention of 100 Thieves, who signed him to fill the shoes of former player Sean ‘bang’ Bezerra for the 2025 VCT season. Despite not qualifying for any global events, Zander showcased leadership potential as an in-game leader during the VCT Americas Stage 2.
Reflecting on his time with the team, Zander expressed gratitude for the opportunity to represent 100 Thieves and thanked his teammates, staff, and fans for their support throughout the year.
Roster Changes After a Difficult Season
Since its entry into the tier-one VALORANT scene in 2021, 100 Thieves has faced challenges in maintaining competitiveness at the top level. Although a partner team in Riot’s franchised VCT circuit, the organisation has struggled against regional powerhouses. Despite past successes, including notable finishes at Masters Berlin 2021 and Masters Shanghai, the team failed to qualify for any global tournaments this season, facing early exits in both the VCT Kickoff and subsequent stages.
With the departure of three key players and former Head Coach Anthony ‘Zikz’ Gray, 100 Thieves is undergoing significant changes. The fate of remaining players Peter ‘Asuna’ Mazuryk and Matthew ‘Cryocells’ Panganiban remains uncertain as the team looks to rebuild for the upcoming season.
