Get ready, gamers! AION 2, the much-anticipated MMORPG, is gearing up for a global release in 2026 with cutting-edge DLSS 4 and Multi Frame Generation support for PC. This game, however, won’t just be limited to PC enthusiasts; a mobile version will also be available. Before the worldwide launch, players in South Korea and Taiwan will get an exclusive first look on November 19.
A Sequel Packed with Innovations
AION 2 serves as a sequel to Aion: The Tower of Eternity, which first captivated players in 2008. Unlike its predecessor, which used Crytek’s CRYENGINE, AION 2 is crafted with the powerful Unreal Engine 5, promising a visually stunning experience. Set two hundred years in the future, the game boasts a world 36 times larger than the original. Say goodbye to loading screens, as the game offers a seamless exploration experience. Players will choose between two factions, Elyos and Asmodian, with epic battles taking place in the Abyss, a unique PvP battleground.
Rich Content and Engaging Combat
The developers have not held back, promising over 200 dungeons for players to conquer, ranging from solo missions to group challenges for up to eight players. Players can dive into the world with eight classes at their disposal: Gladiator, Templar, Assassin, Marksman, Sorcerer, Spiritmaster, Cleric, and Chanter.
Exciting Updates from NVIDIA
NVIDIA shared this exciting news during a press release at the GeForce Gamer Festival, celebrating 25 years of GeForce in South Korea. AION 2 is playable at the event, alongside NCSOFT’s MMOTPS Cinder City, which was recently previewed at Gamescom 2025. In related news, KRAFTON provided a quick update on PUBG Ally, the dynamic AI companion powered by ACE, announced at CES 2025. This innovative feature allows AI teammates to assist players, even engaging in combat. A ‘user test event’ is on the horizon for early next year.
