The excitement builds as AMD prepares to unveil its latest Zen 5 refresh chips. Among them, the high-end Gorgon Point chips are drawing particular attention as new benchmark scores leak, giving us a glimpse of what’s to come.
Ryzen AI 9 465 Geekbench Performance
The AMD Strix Point Refresh, known as Gorgon Point, stood out in benchmarks with its Ryzen AI 9 465 chip, meant to succeed the Ryzen AI 9 365. Previously mentioned in chipset software and platforms like Crossmark, the Ryzen AI 9 465 finally made its appearance on Geekbench.
This chip maintains the robust 10-core/20-thread configuration, capable of reaching up to 5.0 GHz boost clock, and equipped with a Radeon 880M iGPU, similar to its predecessor. The main upgrade comes with enhanced AI abilities through higher NPU AI TOPS.

In Geekbench tests, the Ryzen AI 9 465 closely mirrors the performance of the Ryzen AI 9 365, scoring 2,780 points in single-core and 12,001 points in multi-core tests. This positions it competitively, matching average scores seen previously with the Ryzen AI 9 365.
Expanding Ryzen AI 400 Lineup
Anticipation mounts as the Ryzen AI 400 series is expected to debut at CES 2026, set to challenge Intel’s Panther Lake series. This expanded lineup boasts approximately seven SKUs compared to the previous three in the Strix Point series. AMD plans to include an additional SKU, grouping all under the refreshed Ryzen AI 400 family.
