This latest patch, version 1.7.0, brings a flurry of enhancements and introduces new features to this popular extraction shooter. From the chilling Cold Snap map condition to the eagerly anticipated Flickering Flames event, players have a lot to explore.

Adding more thrill to the mix, there’s the Expedition Departure Window, the upcoming free Raider Deck ‘Goalie’ set to launch on December 26, and a plethora of fresh quests and items. Enthusiasts can look forward to a more refined experience with changes such as Skill Tree Reset, a toggle for Aim Down Sights, and Raider Tool customization. The Wallet now displays the Cred soft cap, and the Aphelion blueprint has been shifted from the Matriarch to Stella Montis, alongside festive touches to embrace the holiday spirit.

Enhancements and Balance Changes

Patch 1.7.0 brings a host of updates aimed at refining gameplay and enhancing user experience. A major focus is on fine-tuning weapon dynamics. The Bettina, for instance, sees improvements making it more effective in PVP scenarios. Its durability has been improved, requiring more than double the magazine usage to deplete, and its base magazine size and reload time have been optimized.

  • Base Magazine Size increased from 20 to 22.
  • Base Reload Time reduced from 5 to 4.5.

The patch also addresses the Rattler’s balance, increasing its magazine size to better compete at lower levels. Other notable changes include adjustments to the Shredder, improving its movement and interaction with players.

Content Additions and Fixes

The update isn’t just about balance; it includes substantial content additions and bug fixes to enhance the gameplay. Achievements are now active on the Epic store, and numerous animation issues have been ironed out for smoother interaction. Players will notice improved audio cues, with fixes applied to enhance immersion and feedback during play.

  • Field Crate interaction animation bugs resolved.
  • Enhancements to Shredder navigation and interaction.
  • Audio tweaks to improve the atmosphere in different game settings.

Map issues have also been tackled, with improved spawning logic and dynamic security locker placements. The Electromagnetic Storm now occasionally leaves valuable items behind, adding an unexpected twist to in-game exploration.

  • Various map collision and geometry fixes.
  • Dynamic spawning for Security Lockers across maps.
  • Increased Great Mullein spawn locations.

Miscellaneous Improvements

Additional enhancements include utility updates, weapon adjustments, and quest refinements. The Aphelion blueprint’s new location and skill tree reset options are just the tip of the iceberg. Players can now customize Raider Tools and enjoy a more streamlined experience with improved UI elements and interaction mechanics.

  • Blueprint spawns expanded across underrepresented areas.
  • Enhanced loot value in Epic key card rooms.
  • Fixed issues with interactive elements and quest completion criteria.

As Embark Studios continues to refine Arc Raiders, players can expect a more immersive and engaging experience with each update, keeping the community thriving and eager for more.
