Avowed Arrives on PS5 February 17, 2026, as Anniversary Update Launches Everywhere

Microsoft surprised fans at the New Game+ Showcase with exciting news from Obsidian. The renowned developer announced that their popular action roleplaying game, Avowed, will soon be making its way to the PlayStation 5. This release marks a significant expansion for the game, which originally launched on February 18, 2026, for PC and Xbox Series S|X. The PS5 version is set to debut on February 17, aligning with Microsoft’s strategy of embracing multiplatform releases. Enthusiasts can now pre-order the game on the PlayStation Store, with options including a $49.99 Standard Edition and a $59.99 Premium Edition featuring exclusive digital content.

Exclusive Pre-Order Bonuses and PS5 Pro Enhancements

Gamers who pre-order Avowed will receive the Emperor’s Feast, a delightful bonus consisting of five royal dishes designed to restore health, mana, and temporarily enhance attributes. The game is also tagged as PS5 Pro Enhanced, promising superior performance on this powerful console. Details are yet to emerge, but players can expect enhanced visual fidelity and smoother gameplay.

Anniversary Update Brings Exciting New Features

In celebration of its first anniversary, Avowed will receive a significant update across all platforms. This free patch introduces a range of new features, including additional playable races like Amowin, Oralins, and Dwarves, new weapon archetypes, expanded ability trees, and enhanced character customization options. The update also includes a community-requested Photo Mode, numerous quality-of-life improvements, and a New Game Plus mode. This major update enhances gameplay with new races, weapons, and a New Game Plus mode.

Grounded 2’s Winter Update Sneak Peek

Obsidian also shed light on Grounded 2, currently in early access. The upcoming Winter Update will introduce the Community Garden, a new biome expanding the existing picnic area with sub-biomes such as a vegetable garden, greenhouse, and pumpkin patch. Player challenges will intensify with new creatures like Crickets and earwig variants, as well as the return of wasps and black ants. The update will also introduce the Ladybug buggy, a new mountable creature.
