The latest updates from Battlefield Studios have shed light on the effectiveness of their Javelin anti-cheat system in curbing unfair play in Battlefield 6. This popular first-person military shooter is striving for a fair and competitive environment, and the developers are committed to making it a reality.
Impressive Anti-Cheat Performance
In the first week following its launch, Battlefield 6 saw approximately 98% of its online matches running without cheats, thanks to the Javelin anti-cheat system. The initial Open Beta weekend showcased a 93.1% cheat-free rate, which soared to nearly 98% by the end after over 1.2 million cheat attempts were thwarted and tens of thousands of cheaters were removed. This security boost was further complemented by the rise in Secure Boot adoption, jumping from 62.5% to 92.5%.
Ongoing Battle Against Cheaters
During the launch weekend alone, Javelin blocked more than 367K cheating attempts. This number has since increased to 2.39 million blocked attempts. Battlefield Studios is actively monitoring 190 cheat-related programs and vendors, with 183 of them reporting failures in their systems since the game’s launch. Despite this success, the fight against cheats continues. Battlefield Studios is exploring advanced security features like HVCI (Hypervisor-Enforced Code Integrity) and VBS (Virtualization-Based Security) and working with console partners to ban cheating hardware, including the notorious Cronus Zen.
Upcoming Winter Offensive Update
With the free multiplayer trial recently concluded, players can look forward to the upcoming Winter Offensive update. This update will introduce a new map, mode, and weapon. Players will face the harsh conditions of Brooklyn’s freezing streets, relying on Heat Zones to maintain their health during the limited-time Ice Lock event.
