Battlefield 6 Players Rush to Epic Fan-Made Conquest Maps Amid Map Size Debate

The Battlefield 6 community has long been clamoring for more extensive Conquest maps, and now, thanks to dedicated fans, they have something to celebrate. Players have taken matters into their own hands, creating their own popular maps to enhance the gaming experience.

Since the game’s release, enthusiasts have requested numerous improvements from EA and Battlefield Studios, ranging from tweaks to aim assist to the introduction of realistic skins. However, the most heated discussions have revolved around map sizes. While some players meticulously compared maps from various Battlefield installments, others resorted to review-bombing. Yet, the more inventive fans are utilizing Battlefield Portal and REDSEC to craft grander maps on their own.

Fan-Created Maps Gain Popularity

Reddit users kurtinthegrind and andy_6170, also known as ViperAndyStudios, have delivered to the Battlefield 6 community a large-scale Conquest map named Club House, utilizing elements from REDSEC’s Fort Lyndon map set in Southern California. This unofficial map provides the open spaces that players have been demanding. Additionally, Tech Center and Operation Tech Center maps offer unique gameplay experiences, focusing on large-scale infantry combat and linear gameplay, respectively.

“The credit to the original version of Tech Center and the Conquest Script belongs to Andy,” explains kurtinthegrind, “though I’ve made a few modifications to them.”

Despite some reservations about his creations, kurtinthegrind acknowledges the necessity of these maps until official support from Ripple Effect/Battlefield Studios arrives. While players can create servers with both bot and bot-less versions available, Club House is particularly drawing attention. Known as Golf Course, it currently enjoys hundreds of active players, with nearly full 64-player servers populated by real players.

In our experience with Club House, even with teams of around 30 players, the combat felt well-distributed, requiring infantry to traverse considerable distances between objectives. Vehicles such as golf carts, helicopters, and tanks offer significant assistance across the expansive map, fostering vehicle warfare and long, engaging matches.

Potential for Official Recognition

The fan-made maps have struck a chord, with players enjoying the change from cramped, conventional maps. The Portal game modes, including Club House Conquest, have amassed a dedicated following, despite slower progression due to modified XP rates. One player shared on Reddit, “for the first time, I felt like I could breathe in this game.” The sentiment echoes throughout the community, advocating for diverse map sizes reminiscent of earlier Battlefield games.

While fans call for these custom maps to enter official playlists, some argue that their existence underscores Portal’s intended purpose. As of now, it’s uncertain if these experiences will receive more attention from BF Studios.

Though BF Studios has not confirmed the scale of future Battlefield 6 maps, more content is anticipated. The first post-launch map, Blackwell Fields, faced fan criticism, but the upcoming Eastwood map promises fresh excitement. As Season 1 continues, players can expect more additions in the coming months.
