Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 EU Launch Sales Lag 63% Behind Battlefield 6

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has officially launched, but its debut has been surprisingly low-key compared to the usual fanfare associated with such high-profile releases. Despite this, the latest installment in the Call of Duty franchise has managed to climb to the top of the sales charts in the European market. However, early reports indicate that the game’s performance is not meeting the high expectations set by its predecessors.

Sales Performance Compared to Previous Releases

Reports suggest that Call of Duty: Black Ops 7’s launch week sales in Europe have significantly underperformed compared to last year’s Black Ops 6 and Battlefield 6. The GSD Data reveals that Black Ops 7 trails far behind Battlefield 6’s first week European launch sales by 63%, and it’s also over 50% behind the sales figures of Black Ops 6 during its first week. Despite topping the charts for its launch week, the numbers indicate that the game has missed the sales mark typically expected from a Call of Duty title.

Other Chart-Topping Games

In addition to Black Ops 7, the sales charts have seen other notable entries. Anno 117: Pax Romana, which launched shortly before Black Ops 7, has more than doubled the launch numbers of its predecessor, Anno 1800. Football Manager 26, despite initial success, has seen a decline attributed to technical issues and negative feedback. Meanwhile, Battlefield 6 maintains a strong presence in the top 10 for both revenue and copies sold, staying just behind EA Sports FC 26. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 also holds its ground in the top 10, bolstered by recent DLC releases and promotional offers.

Top 10 Games by Copies Sold and Revenue

The European market’s top games for the week of November 10-16 are led by Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, according to The Game Business. Anno 117: Pax Romana, EA Sports FC 26, and Battlefield 6 follow closely. The lists feature popular titles such as Pokemon Legends Z-A, Grand Theft Auto V, and Hogwarts Legacy, with Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 also making a notable appearance.
