Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Multiplayer Modes Accidentally Revealed in Xbox App

A shocking leak has revealed what Call of Duty black ops 7 multiplayer is potentially going to be like. Details of a playtest that is supposed to be restricted to developers only has been leaked via the Xbox Call of Duty app. It reports several multiplayer modes with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 the developer reports testing during the weekend.

Skirmish: Large-Scale Combat with Aerial Mobility

One of the revealed modes is “Skirmish,” a 20v20 battle that looks like it makes use of wingsuit as an integral mechanic within gameplay. Leaked description suggests that in the mode, teams will compete across large maps to capture locations, destroy objectives and transmit data to earn points. The wingsuit ability appears to be designed to help players outflank enemies and get to objectives before the enemy team can. The first team to reach the set score is the winner.

Overload: Strategic Team-Based Objective Play

Another revealed mode called “Overload” seems to provide a variation on escort-style gameplay. In 6v6 mode, both teams will fight over a neutral EMP device with the aim of delivering it to the enemy HQ in order to score. This design looks like a game mode from an assault-style shooter with objectives that requires team coordination.

Unexpected Consecutive Black Ops Releases

Treyarch and Raven Software are currently building Black Ops 7. It was announced earlier this month during Summer Game Fest.  The reveal shocked several fans, as this is the first time in Black Ops history that two releases have been ordered back-to-back. This game is released after last year’s Black Ops game, thus making a first in a row game Call of Duty sub-game.

As the launch date draws closer, gamers can expect new details regarding the game’s campaign mode and other features in the upcoming months.
