Call of Duty Mobile Reveals 2025 Esports Roadmap

Call of Duty Mobile has officially presented its 2025 esports roadmap, introducing enhanced rewards and a total prize pool of $1 million.

Introduction of Two Competitive Divisions

For the first time in the game’s competitive history, the World Championship will be divided into two distinct categories: Legendary and Open. The Legendary Division will consist of players from the Legendary and Grandmaster tiers, while all other ranks will compete in the Open Division.

Players participating in the Open Division will compete against others of a similar skill level and receive CoD Points and FACEIT Points as rewards for their performance throughout the tournament.

Expanded Regional Coverage

The 2025 esports season will span across six regions. Africa is now included alongside North America, Europe, India, Latin America, and Japan, reflecting the growing global reach of Call of Duty Mobile’s competitive scene.

Season Schedule and Format

The competitive season is set to begin on April 25th with the first two stages, which will determine the teams that move forward. Initially, players must accumulate ranked points to qualify for stage two. In this second stage, beginning on June 4th, participants will compete as ranked teams. The Open Division concludes at this point.

Moving into the next phase, 64 teams from each region will advance and fight for a position in the top 16 for the stage three finals. The top eight teams in each region will proceed to stage four, scheduled for July 26th. This stage will feature a GSL group format with best-of-five matches.

Prize Distribution and Championship Path

As detailed in the official FAQ, teams competing in stage four and the global championship will secure a portion of the prize pool, although the specific breakdown has not been announced yet.

The best two teams from every region will qualify for the stage four finals. From there, the remaining top four will engage in a double-elimination playoff bracket, ultimately deciding the 2025 Call of Duty Mobile World Champions.

Previous Championship Recap

The 2024 World Championship was hosted in Atlanta, United States, at the Georgia World Congress Center as part of DreamHack Atlanta. That year, Elevate, a team comprising Filipino and American players, emerged victorious, claiming $400,000 in prize money.
