Recent reports suggest this GPU could rival NVIDIA’s 60-series SKUs, thanks to its advanced architecture. Furthermore, the Lisuan 7G106 might be the first GPU worldwide to support the Windows on ARM (WoA) platform, as it was observed operating with an ARM-based CPU.
The Technical Marvel Behind Lisuan’s 7G106
The specifications of the Lisuan 7G106 are impressive, boasting 12 GB of GDDR6 memory on a 192-bit bus interface and compatibility with PCIe 4.0 x16. The card is equipped with 192 TMUs, 96 ROPs, and a peak TDP of 225W, all powered via a single 8-pin connector. Industry sources mention that the 6nm silicon is based on TSMC’s N6 process. As TSMC’s chip stock diminishes, SMIC’s 6nm solution might also be adopted.
A demonstration on Bilibili highlighted the 7G106 GPU in action, paired with a domestic ARM-CPU, the CP8180, featuring 12 ARMv9 cores running at a maximum of 3.2 GHz.
