Revenge of the Savage Planet offers players several distinct conclusions to their cosmic journey. This guide explores all available endings and explains how to unlock each one. Be aware that significant spoilers follow as we delve into the game’s conclusion options.
Three Unique Endings Available
As of early May 2025, players have discovered three separate conclusions to the game, each requiring different objectives to be completed:
The primary ending involves confronting and defeating the mechanical menace known as Mecha Slappi.
A second conclusion becomes available once players fully restore the Javelin spacecraft for Earth return.
The third and most comprehensive ending requires assisting a character named Martin Tweed with gathering evidence before departing.
Main Story Conclusion: Confronting Mecha Slappi
The primary storyline in Revenge of the Savage Planet culminates in a showdown with Mecha Slappi. Throughout your journey, you’ll receive communications from a mysterious individual regarding unusual frequency readings in specific regions. After collecting all available tools and gadgets, you’ll learn about special shrines with challenges and an artifact called the Pentaforce.
To reach this conclusion, players must locate five trial shrines scattered across the game world. Completing each shrine’s challenges rewards a piece of the Pentaforce. After collecting all five pieces and finishing the associated research, the Planet Cannon launches your character to Slappi’s Den of Fun, the fifth world in the star system.
The final confrontation with Mecha Slappi serves as the game’s ultimate boss battle. Defeating this mechanical menace rewards players with the achievement titled “Entertained… To Death.”
Following victory, a short cutscene displays Mecha Slappi’s destruction as your character activates the reset button on the actual Slappi, revealed to be a small robot. After the credits sequence, players can view a message from Slappi at their hub station. Additionally, a Slappi toy becomes available for purchase as hub decoration.
Alternative Path: The Javelin Departure
The second possible conclusion involves completing the Roundtrip 2.0 mission sequence by fully repairing the Javelin spacecraft. This path requires players to:
Recover the Javelin from swamplands and remove accumulated debris.
Locate and scan other crashed Javelin vessels to complete necessary 3D Printer projects.
Launch the repaired Javelin, triggering a unique cutscene and unlocking the “Hasta La Vista” achievement.
This ending provides a somewhat humorous conclusion. The departure sequence shows the Javelin lifting off from Stellaris Prime as your character begins the journey back to Earth. However, players learn that only a janitorial position awaits upon their return home, adding an ironic twist to this conclusion.
Secret Ending: Exposing Corporate Misconduct
What many consider the true or secret ending involves completing the Tweed’s Revenge mission line. This conclusion requires players to:
Gather evidence of Alta’s corporate wrongdoing by scanning 13 specific objects scattered across multiple planets.
Optionally resist Alta’s threatening “Nastygrams” by eliminating designated targets at the Nu Florida base.
Launch the Javelin after collecting all evidence for Martin Tweed, earning the “Revenge Is Best Served via the Internet” achievement.
While this ending begins with the standard Javelin launch sequence, it continues with Tweed explaining his plans to pursue legal action against Alta InterGlobal. Upon returning to your hub after this sequence, a news broadcast reveals that Alta’s executive leadership has been imprisoned following Tweed’s public exposé.
Completing all these endings will also reward players with the “Side Notes” achievement for finishing all core side quests in the game.
Exploring All Possibilities
Each ending provides a different perspective on your character’s journey through the cosmos. Whether you choose to focus on defeating the mechanical threat, simply returning home, or exposing corporate corruption, Revenge of the Savage Planet offers satisfying conclusions that reward different playstyles and exploration approaches.
