Dawnwalker Devs Confirm 2026 Launch and Hint at Exciting Upcoming Announcements

The new year brings excitement for fans of Western roleplaying games as anticipation builds for the 2026 launch of “The Blood of Dawnwalker.” This eagerness was fueled by a recent “Launch Year Special” video shared by the game’s developers, promising an eventful year ahead.

A Message from Rebel Wolves

Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, the visionary behind Rebel Wolves and former Game Director of “The Witcher III: Wild Hunt,” joined forces with Global Community Lead Dominika Burza to express gratitude and share insights with the gaming community. They reflected on last year’s journey since the game’s unveiling, highlighting the enthusiastic reception of the cinematic trailer and gameplay previews. Dominika emphasized the joy of meeting fans at major gaming events worldwide, such as Gamescom, PAX East and West, TwitchCon, and Poznan Game Arena.

The developers acknowledge the invaluable feedback from fans, with Konrad expressing a commitment to consider community suggestions while striving for excellence. Dominika reassured fans that though not all suggestions could be implemented, the game’s development remains transparent, showcasing its progress even if it sometimes doesn’t fully represent the final product. The announcement that “The Blood of Dawnwalker” is set to launch in 2026 without revealing a specific date has left fans eager for more updates.

Fan Influence and Development

The dedication of Rebel Wolves to fan feedback is evident in the incorporation of various community-driven changes. Creative Director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz shared that directional combat remains a feature, but based on player input, an option to enjoy the game as a traditional action RPG was added. Other changes include a more integrated active abilities system, a radial menu that slows time instead of stopping it, and customizable camera settings for combat and exploration.

“The Blood of Dawnwalker” stands out as one of the top five anticipated RPGs of 2026, promising an immersive experience powered by Unreal Engine 5. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X.
