As May draws to a close, Microsoft has revealed the titles that will be removed from Xbox Game Pass by the end of the month. This time, only five games are set to leave the service, but each one offers a unique experience worth exploring before they’re gone on May 31.
Remnant 2 Bids Farewell
Among the departing games, the standout is Remnant 2, a third-person action shooter released in 2023. Known for its challenging gameplay and cooperative elements, it has been a popular title among fans of the genre. Those interested in intense gunfights and dynamic worlds should definitely try it out before it leaves the platform.

Slayers X Brings Retro Mayhem
Another title making its exit is Slayers X: Terminal Aftermath: Vengance of the Slayer—a chaotic first-person shooter that wears its indie roots with pride. It features deliberately quirky spellings and multiple colons in the title as part of its satirical style. Developed as a fictional game within the Hyperspace Outlaw universe, it adds a layer of meta-humor that stands out among indie shooters.

Puzzle and Mystery Experiences Departing Soon
For players who enjoy brainteasers and narrative-driven gameplay, two more titles should be on the radar: Humanity and Firework. Humanity is a thought-provoking puzzle-platformer with a unique visual style and mechanics. Firework, on the other hand, is a mystery game that focuses on atmospheric storytelling and investigative gameplay. These games offer more contemplative experiences compared to the action-heavy titles also on the list.

Cassette Beasts Exits the Library
The fifth game leaving Game Pass is Cassette Beasts. This RPG draws clear inspiration from monster-collecting franchises, featuring turn-based battles and a cassette-themed evolution system. Its charming design and nostalgic mechanics have earned it a dedicated following.

Discounted Purchase Before Removal
Subscribers who want to keep playing any of these titles even after they leave the service can buy them at a 20% discount until May 31. It’s a great opportunity to hold onto favorites without paying full price.
More Games Incoming
Although these titles are on their way out, Microsoft has already unveiled a new batch of games set to arrive on Game Pass before the end of May. So while some experiences leave, others are always on the way to keep the library fresh.
