Dying Light: The Beast Update 1.4 Brings Ray Tracing to PC, Introduces New Game+ and Legend Levels, Plus Numerous Enhancements

Techland has rolled out an exciting new update for Dying Light: The Beast, bringing a fresh wave of enhancements to this popular survival horror adventure. With Update 1.4 now live, players can look forward to a range of new features, including the highly anticipated ray tracing on PC, which promises to enhance the atmospheric immersion of Castor Woods. This update also addresses over 70 graphical glitches, promising a smoother and more visually appealing experience for fans.

New Game+ and Enhanced Gameplay

In line with Techland’s previous commitments, the game now features a New Game+ mode, allowing players to relive Kyle Crane’s journey while keeping their hard-earned gear and progression. As the challenge ramps up, players will encounter tougher enemies, but also gain access to superior weapons and loot. This mode can be replayed multiple times, each cycle increasing difficulty and introducing even more formidable adversaries.

Legend Levels and Community Challenges

The update introduces Legend Levels, a progression system beyond the standard skill tree, activated once players hit Level 15. By converting earned XP into Legend XP, players unlock passive upgrades and enhance their character’s capabilities. The patch, shaped by community input, also resolves over 200 parkour and navigation issues. Additionally, three new Finishers have been added, along with a Community Challenge focused on executing finishers for special rewards.

Exclusive Rewards and Events

The “Call of the Beast Week 9” event is scheduled from November 27 to December 4, offering rewards to players who complete the challenge. Additionally, an exclusive in-game gift, the Bloody Bowie Knife, awaits those who log in during this period. A Double XP event is also available from November 27 to 30, providing even more opportunities to bolster your character’s abilities.

The introduction of ray tracing and New Game+ mode in Dying Light: The Beast marks a significant enhancement in both visual fidelity and gameplay depth, reinvigorating the survival horror experience for players.
