Elden Ring Nightreign System Requirements

The system requirements for Elden Ring Nightreign have been revealed, and it’s good news for players who haven’t upgraded their PCs since playing the original Elden Ring. The minimum and recommended specifications for Nightreign are almost identical to those of the original game, with only a slight increase in CPU requirement.

Nightreign is essentially Elden Ring, but with a twist. It’s described as a standalone expansion that plays very similarly to the original game. Therefore, it’s not surprising that the hardware requirements are also very similar.

While the original Elden Ring had pretty demanding system requirements for its time, they are now considered to be mid-range. In fact, when Shadow of the Erdtree was released with the same requirements, a hardware writer described the minimum specs as “pretty aged” and the recommended rig as “pretty low-end hardware by modern standards.”

Nightreign’s Specifics

Nightreign does have a slightly higher CPU requirement than Elden Ring, but someone who played Elden Ring on a below-minimum CPU wondered if players might be able to get away with it as long as their GPU and RAM are up to par. However, they also stated that they make no promises. The RAM and GPU requirements are the same as Elden Ring, but Nightreign only requires 30GB of storage space, compared to the original game’s 60GB.
