Elden Ring Nightreign Unveils Exciting Gameplay Details In New Overview

FromSoftware has just dropped an in-depth 10-minute gameplay showcase for Elden Ring Nightreign, the highly anticipated multiplayer roguelike expansion. Set to launch on May 30 for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, this new adventure promises thrilling combat, deep customization, and a fresh take on the Elden Ring experience.

A Dynamic Three-Day Survival Challenge

Elden Ring Nightreign introduces a unique three-day cycle where players, known as Nightfarers, venture into the ever-changing world of Limveld. Their mission? To hunt down and defeat a formidable Nightlord. Each journey into Limveld presents a different landscape, with new biomes, enemies, and challenges ensuring no two runs feel the same.

During the day, players can explore, gather loot, or tackle dangerous dungeons—either as a team or solo. Random encounters and enemy ambushes keep the action unpredictable. When night falls, survival becomes the priority as a ring of fire forces players toward a climactic boss battle. On the third night, they must face the Nightlord itself.

Eight Unique Classes To Master

The game features eight distinct classes, each offering varied playstyles. Four were previously revealed—Guardian, Duchess, Recluse, and Wylder—while the new trailer highlights two more:

  • Ironeye – A deadly archer specializing in ranged combat.
  • Raider – A brutal melee fighter built for heavy hits.

Two additional classes remain shrouded in mystery. One, called the Executor, wields a katana, while the other is a harp-carrying figure with undisclosed abilities.

Customization And Progression

Players can personalize their Nightfarers with unique skins, including nods to classic FromSoftware characters like Solaire and Leonhard. Beyond aesthetics, progression involves recovering lost memories, adding a narrative layer to the roguelike structure.

Elden Ring Nightreign arrives on May 30 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
