Among the new features are two additional starting classes—the Knight of Ides and the Heavy Armored Knight. While details remain limited, these classes come with unique armor sets, two of which are exclusive to the Tarnished Edition. The other two armor sets will be obtainable in-game, alongside new weapons and combat skills.

Players who have grown fond of their spectral steed, Torrent, will be pleased to know the mount is receiving three new appearances. These visual upgrades add more personalization options for those traversing the Lands Between.
Tarnished Pack DLC Coming to All Platforms
While the new content is bundled with the Switch 2’s Tarnished Edition, FromSoftware confirmed that it will also be available on other platforms via the Tarnished Pack DLC. According to reports, the studio mentioned this DLC would be affordably priced, making it accessible to a wide audience.
The introduction of new classes is a smart move, especially for players starting fresh on the Switch 2. Veterans revisiting the game may also find these additions a compelling reason to dive back in.
