North American esports organization ENVY has bid farewell to the competitive Rainbow Six Siege scene. This surprising exit was confirmed via a social media announcement, revealing that the team will be halting its competitive operations and has separated from its entire roster.
ENVY’s departure marks the end of their short-lived stint in Rainbow Six Siege, which lasted only six months. This decision comes just before the Last Chance Qualifier for the Six Invitational 2026, scheduled for January 9th. The five players, now competing under the name JJ and Co, will continue their journey without the backing of ENVY.
ENVY’s R6 Stint Cuts Short
ENVY’s involvement in Ubisoft’s esports title began in June 2025. The team had ambitious goals but struggled to achieve significant success, finishing in 10th and 7th places in Stage 1 and Stage 2, respectively. This underperformance resulted in missing out on prestigious tournaments like the R6 Esports World Cup and the BLAST R6 Major Munich 2025. While ENVY managed to clinch one of the two Six Invitational: North American Qualifiers, their journey was cut short as the organization decided to withdraw from the competition.
Alongside ENVY, other organizations like Asia Pacific’s Chiefs Esports Club and Europe’s Fnatic have also released their R6 rosters following lackluster performances.
What’s Next for Rainbow Six Esports
Despite ENVY’s exit, the players will compete in the LCQ as JJ and Co, striving for a spot in the Six Invitational set to occur in Paris, France, on February 2. The tournament will host 20 teams vying for a share of the $3 million prize pool (~£2.23m), culminating with the finals at the Adidas Arena on February 15.
Following the Invitational, teams will enter the offseason in March, with competition resuming in April at the newly introduced Season Kickoff event. This event will offer Six Invitational Points and qualification opportunities for the May Major.
