Envy Unleashes Halo Roster, Vows Comeback with HCS

North American esports organization Envy has made a significant announcement, revealing its departure from the Halo esports scene. This marks the end of Envy’s six-month journey in the Halo Championship Series (HCS), during which they achieved numerous top-three finishes in both online and offline tournaments. The departure comes as the HCS plans to leave Halo Infinite by the end of the 2025 season.

Envy concluded its latest stint in Halo with a commendable third-place finish at the Halo World Championship 2025. Over the years, Envy has made a strong impact on Halo esports, with highlights including a runner-up finish in the 2017 World Championship.

Mike ‘Hastr0’ Rufail, Founder and CEO of Envy, expressed hopes for future opportunities in Halo esports, emphasizing the team’s progress throughout the year. He assured fans that Envy will return to Halo once the HCS resumes its activities.

The Future Of Halo Esports

With the HCS moving away from Halo Infinite, the esports landscape of the game is set to evolve. In October, Halo Studios teamed up with ESL FACEIT Group to organize an open tournament at DreamHack Birmingham in March 2026. Despite the changes, Halo Studios is committed to providing competitive opportunities across Europe and North America, ensuring ongoing engagement for players and organizations.
