ESL Boosts Club Rewards for IEM China 2026

Exciting changes are underway for the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) China 2026, marking a significant shift in the esports landscape. ESL, the tournament organizer, has decided to revamp its Club Rewards allocation, bringing more excitement and financial incentives to the upcoming event in China. This move is set to elevate the competition and attract top-tier teams to the prestigious event.

Revamped Prize Distribution

Sources suggest that the $250,000 initially earmarked for IEM Major Cologne will now be redirected to IEM China, boosting the Counter-Strike 2 event’s Club Reward to an impressive $950,000. This adjustment aligns with the 2026 IEM Cologne Major’s structure, which features a $1.25 million prize pool but excludes Club Rewards. Consequently, IEM China’s prize pool is now increased from its previous $1 million.

The prize distribution has been adjusted to reflect this change, with the champion team set to receive $125,000 in prize money plus $235,000 in Club Rewards. The runner-up will earn $50,000 and $160,000 in Club Rewards, while the third-place team is set to take home $30,000 alongside $130,000 in Club Rewards. ESL continues to offer a total of $3.8 million in Club Rewards for the 2026 season’s seven sanctioned events.
