The legendary League of Legends player, Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok, known as the Unkillable Demon King, has partnered with McDonald’s Korea to spread holiday cheer. As a seasoned veteran in the LCK and a prominent figure in South Korea, Faker is now spearheading a holiday charity campaign, a role that suits his influencer status perfectly.

McDonald’s Korea has brought back the Lucky Burger on December 26th, 2025, with a portion of the proceeds going to RMHC Korea, a charity dedicated to helping families with ill children. The commercial showcases Faker enjoying the Lucky Burger, giving his seal of approval with a thumbs up, all while the catchy jingle plays. Fans of League of Legends were delighted by this entertaining promotion, with many stating their intention to indulge in the Lucky Burger throughout its limited availability.

Esports x Fast Food is a Collab Made in Heaven

Faker’s fame in South Korea has led to various brand partnerships over the years. Previously, he was even honored with a dedicated ice cream flavor by Lotte Confectionery. Fast food and esports collaborations have been a trend for years. Back in 2013, McDonald’s in Sweden allowed Ninjas in Pyjamas to craft their own sandwich.

In more recent years, TSM collaborated with Jersey Mike’s for a long-term campaign in 2023, while Chipotle emerged as a major player in the FGC, sponsoring Evo 2025 and partnering with 2XKO for an exclusive in-game bundle.
