The presence of Faker in the video suggests that he is very popular, not only in esports but also in Korea. He became the first-ever League of Legends Hall of Fame nominee in 2024.

A Successful Launch

The music video of Stray Kids is currently taking YouTube by storm as it crosses 3 million views in less than 5 hours. Fans took to the comments section to notice Faker’s involvement. The cameo occurs at a crucial moment for T1, as the organization seeks success at the 2025 League of Legends World Championship in China. T1 is currently in third place in LCK’s Legend Group and already qualified for the playoffs with four more games left in the Group Stage.

K-pop’s Ongoing Relationship with Esports

Stray Kids is a famous K-pop group that began in 2018 and contains eight different members. They also organized an event previously with the esports.  The song called Come Play was contributed by the ensemble to the League of Legends Arcane Season 2 soundtrack. Many K-pop artists have also made such collaborations involving the esports world. Earlier in the year, Aespa performed with PUBG at 2025 PUBG Nations Cup organized in Seoul.

Many K-pop artists have been featured in esports performing official anthems for its competitive events. Recently, New Jeans was chosen for the 2023 League of Legends World Championship, THE BOYZ did the 2022 Worlds with T1 and there is KISS OF LIFE for VALORANT Champions 2024. But despite all these artists being part of esports events, the most iconic partnership is probably K/DA. This virtual group was created by Riot Games in 2018, with members being characters from League of Legends. Further, it has members Miyeon and Soyean from the girl group I-DLE.
