League of Legends enthusiasts are in for a treat as esports icon Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok teams up with Wild Rift to introduce a distinctive Zed skin. Known for his legendary plays, Faker continues to leave his mark in the gaming community with unique collaborations.
Faker has joined forces with Wild Rift to unveil the Galaxy Slayer Zed — Exquisite Edition skin, showcased through a captivating trailer on the game’s official social media channels.
Galaxy Slayer Zed Lands Exclusively on Wild Rift
Fans will remember the Galaxy Slayer Zed skin from its initial release on the PC version back in 2019. However, this latest iteration is set to be exclusively available on Wild Rift. Details on its pricing and launch date remain under wraps, keeping players on the edge of their seats.
Although Faker hasn’t utilized Zed in a competitive setting since 2017, the champion is central to one of his most memorable plays. During a pivotal match against KT Rolster in 2013, Faker’s Zed outmaneuvered Ryu ‘Ryu’ Sang-wook in a dramatic one-on-one encounter.
Expanding the Legacy: Over 10 Personal Skins
This latest release marks yet another addition to Faker’s extensive collection of personal skins within the League of Legends universe. Earlier in the year, he participated in a promotional campaign for Wild Rift, focusing on his favored champion Ryze. With Galaxy Slayer Zed, Faker celebrates his 10th personal skin, adding a second Zed skin alongside the one commemorating his 2013 Worlds victory. An 11th skin is anticipated next year, celebrating his sixth World Championship win.
Meanwhile, Faker is actively participating in the 2025 KeSPA Cup, an off-season spectacle hosted by Korea’s esports governing body. The tournament showcases 10 LCK teams, along with North American powerhouses Team Liquid and Cloud9, and all-star lineups from Japan and Vietnam. T1 stands strong in the top three, gearing up to face either Dplus KIA or Hanwha Life Esports in the knockout stage’s lower bracket on December 13th.
