Esports organization FlyQuest has revealed that Vanguard player Ghasklin will be departing from its Marvel Rivals roster. The announcement came through the organization’s social media channels. FlyQuest acknowledged Ghasklin’s contribution stating that they appreciate his participation in their first Invitational run and initial steps in Marvel Rivals.
Following the announcement, Ghasklin shared that he would be taking a brief hiatus to decompress and de-stress, mentioning significant personal matters requiring his attention. He clarified that this isn’t a permanent departure from the competitive scene and is actively seeking opportunities with a new team or organization.
Ghasklin joined FlyQuest on March 12th, 2025, alongside six other active team members. His competitive background includes previous stints with Shikigami and NTMR.
His most notable achievement with FlyQuest came during NA Invitational #2, where the team secured a 3-1 victory against Sentinels in March, advancing to the grand finals. Despite ultimately falling to 100 Thieves 2-4, the organization walked away with $20,000 (~£15,000) in prize money.
Looking Ahead for FlyQuest
Unlike Sentinels, which recently lost both its Vanguard players earlier this month, FlyQuest remains adequately staffed for upcoming tournaments such as Marvel Rivals Championships for Season 2. This advantage stems from their initial seven-player roster structure, similar to approaches taken by Shroud-X and 100 Thieves.
However, the team’s future success will largely depend on the adaptability of its remaining members. According to competitive databases, only Ian ‘SparkChief’ Rivera Cruz is currently designated as a Vanguard main. In the current meta with increasing prominence of dive characters, competing with a single tank isn’t impossible but presents significant challenges.
FlyQuest supporters will need to wait and see how the team performs without Ghasklin in their Marvel Rivals lineup.
