FURIA triumphantly claimed the BLAST Rivals Fall 2025 title, securing victory over Team Falcons in what was the last Counter-Strike 2 tournament before the Major. This significant win marks FURIA’s third triumph at a Tier 1 event, solidifying the Brazilian team’s status among the world’s elite in esports.
FURIA’s Form Continues
Entering the BLAST Rivals Fall 2025 fresh off a victory at IEM Chengdu 2025, FURIA was poised as a strong contender for the final Tier 1 trophy ahead of the StarLadder Budapest Major. The team kicked off the group stage with a 2-1 victory against PaiN Gaming, progressing to face Team Vitality. FURIA showcased impressive defense on Nuke, winning 13-11, but Vitality struck back on Overpass, forcing a decider on Inferno. Demonstrating exceptional coordination, FURIA held a lead and eventually secured a 2-1 series win, advancing to the playoffs. In the semi-finals, FURIA faced PaiN Gaming once again, dominating Nuke and finishing the series on Overpass with a 2-0 victory.
A Team Falcons Face Off
In the Grand Final, Team Falcons, having swept Team Vitality in the semis, faced off against FURIA. Falcons started strong with a 13-3 victory on Inferno. However, FURIA rebounded with a 13-9 win on Nuke. The battle intensified on Train, where double overtime was needed, with AWPer Danil ‘molodoy’ Golubenko delivering crucial plays to edge out a 19-15 win for FURIA. Despite Falcons’ early lead on Mirage, molodoy’s defensive prowess helped FURIA overcome the deficit. As the match extended into another overtime, FURIA emerged victorious with a 19-16 win, clinching the series 3-1. FURIA’s success in Hong Kong positions them strongly for the upcoming Major, anticipated to be a highlight in the CS2 era.
While Team Falcons narrowly missed the title, their strong second-place finish underscores the team’s consistent performance heading towards the close of 2025.
