FURIA’s Astounding Comeback Against NAVI Brings Thunderpick World Championship 2025 Glory

FURIA, the famous Brazilian esports team, managed to come back from a two-map deficit to take down NAVI and win the Thunderpick World Championship 2025. FURIA has already notched their second major Counter-Strike 2 LAN victory of the year at the FISSURE Playground 2 event in September.

FURIA Demonstrates Consistent Excellence

Before the major event, FURIA wanted to establish itself as one of the best teams with another strong showing at a major. With a 2-0 victory over OG Esports, they started in Group A. The MongolZ was the next game to be played against which the highest contenders would clash, according to the Valve Regional Standings of October.

FURIA’s stronger offensive play showed again. They won 2-0, which secured the group’s 1st place. They have also qualified for the Playoffs. In the final, they played their best and safely booked their Grand Finals by defeating Aurora Gaming 2 – 0.

An Intense Grand Final Battle

In the Grand Final’s first match, NAVI overcame FURIA’s momentum by winning 13-6 on Mirage. Furthermore, Mareks ‘YEKINDAR’ Gaļinski and Danil ‘molodoy’ Golubenko struggled for rhythm during this match. Next, the Ukrainians grabbed control of Inferno, 13-9, putting FURIA on the verge of elimination following their success before that round.

FURIA started to turn the tide on Nuke, grabbing eight rounds on defence and winning a 3v3 post-plant in a crucial moment. The comeback progressed on Dust II. YEKINDAR of Latvia got close to an ace in the pistol round. Because of that, FURIA moved towards a 13-5 win and a decider on Train.

On Train, NAVI only scored one offensive round in the first half against FURIA’s defence. FURIA had two attacking rounds in the second half, allowing them to obtain a massive 13-1 victory and the Thunderpick World Championship 2025 title.

Future Prospects for FURIA

With this big victory now behind them, FURIA will set their sights on the IEM Chengdu 2025. The tournament is one of the last big events ahead of the StarLadder Budapest Major in November. The Brazilian squad is 1 of 16 teams invited to compete in China, alongside the likes of Team Vitality, Team Spirit and The MongolZ. From November 3rd to 9th, they will be competing to win a share of $300,000.
