G2 and NORD Unite to Launch a New Tier-Two Team

G2 Esports has unveiled an exciting new venture with NORD Esports, resulting in the creation of a fresh League of Legends team. Dubbed G2 NORD, this team is set to compete in the Prime League, part of the European Regional League circuit for DACH. Their goal is clear: build a team that can challenge for top positions and achieve notable success at EMEA Masters.

Strategic Withdrawal and Partnerships

Reports suggest that NORD Esports will step away from the Northern League of Legends Championship (NLC) as part of this new endeavor. Supporting this innovative project is German insurance company LVM Versicherung, a founding partner committed to investing in the future of emerging League of Legends talent in Germany.

Leadership and Team Composition

Helming the G2 NORD initiative is former professional player Niklot ‘Tolkin’ Stüber, who takes on the role of team President. The lineup includes Francesco ‘Shelfmade’ Cardia, Mark ‘Markoon’ van Woensel, Alex ‘Toasty’ Chea, Khalil ‘Rin’ Sahraoui, and Timo ‘Tockimo’ Bock. This initiative aims to foster a deep connection with German fans, striving to make them feel part of the G2 Army.

G2 Esports And League Of Legends

G2 Esports has been a prominent fixture in European League of Legends since 2014, initially under the Gamers2 name. Recently, the organization made the decision to disband G2 Hel, their successful women’s team, after three years of notable achievements in Europe. As the new season approaches, all eyes will be on G2 NORD to see how they stack up against established Prime League competitors.
