The Game Awards is gearing up for a spectacular showcase on December 11, 2025, at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles. This highly anticipated event will be accessible to audiences globally through platforms like YouTube, Twitch, X (formerly Twitter), and TikTok. For the first time ever, viewers can also tune in via Amazon Prime Video, expanding the reach of this prestigious event.
A New Partnership Expands Reach
Geoff Keighley, creator and host of the Game Awards, shared the exciting addition of Prime Video as a streaming partner. For the first time, the Game Awards will be available live on Prime Video across more than 200 countries and territories. This collaboration signifies a major step forward, allowing Amazon to deepen its involvement in the gaming world, not through game development, but through innovative broadcast collaborations and merchandise availability.
Alongside streaming, Amazon will introduce a Game Awards-dedicated store, offering exclusive merchandise and Prime-exclusive deals on nominated games, new releases, and gaming hardware, unveiled live during the event.
Unchanged Excellence in Presentation
In a recent report, Keighley emphasized that the addition of Prime Video will not alter the core of the Game Awards. The event will continue to air on all its traditional platforms, maintaining the essence that has defined it since its inception in 2014. Amazon’s role is purely as an additional distribution channel, ensuring fans receive the same high-quality experience they’ve come to expect.
Keighley reassured fans that the show will remain consistent with its roots, free from external influence, and true to the vision that has made it a cornerstone of the gaming calendar.
