GamerLegion and Astralis Exit IEM Cologne 2025

GamerLegion and Astralis are out of the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Cologne 2025 after failing to qualify from their Group Stage. The exit of these two European teams leaves room for even more exciting matches, which will be played on Monday, July 28 after the weekend matches.

GamerLegion’s Journey Ends

GamerLegion easily defeated Complexity and Virtus.pro in the Play-Ins. However, their progress had to stop further along the line after they were dropped to the lower bracket of Group A due to losing against Team Falcons. They fought against 3DMAX, who was also put in the lower bracket after being beaten by The MongolZ. GamerLegion won on Overpass, but 3DMAX came back on Inferno to force a third map on Dust II. The French team 3DMAX eliminated GamerLegion from the road to the LANXESS Arena by winning a triple overtime.

FURIA’s Triumph Over Astralis

In another elimination match in Group B, Astralis faced off against FURIA. After breaking into Valve Regional Standings (VRS), the Brazilian team won Inferno and continued their winning ways on Dust II to end Astralis’ tourney run. Having just won, FURIA is set to face Team Falcons for a spot in the lower bracket final.
