In RoadCraft, players are dropped into a post-crisis world where the task at hand is to rebuild crumbling infrastructure. One of the initial objectives is to recover a generator from a long-abandoned facility. Although this may appear to be a straightforward assignment, the journey is filled with tactical driving and environmental challenges. Here’s how to successfully complete the task and claim your rewards.
Journey to the Abandoned Site
Your first step is reaching the abandoned facility where the generator is located. The mission marker will guide you directly to an old construction site situated southeast of the Forward Base.
The fastest and most reliable way there is via the dirt road linking the Forward Base to the facility. This path has a few muddy patches and bends but is otherwise easy to traverse. Given that it’s an early mission, the Scout vehicle is well-suited for the trip.
To access the interior, proceed to the southwest corner of the site. You’ll need to push down a raised ramp to open a passage into the building. Upon approaching the entrance, a tutorial prompt will appear, instructing the use of your Object Scanner. At this point, scan upward to locate your target.
From your external position, scan the upper levels to find a container on the top floor. Then, move west of that location, following a dirt trail that leads to a ramp. At the foot of this ramp, a wooden plank marked with yellow and black stripes will be visible. Break through this to gain entry.
Locating and Securing the Generator
As you ascend the initial ramp, two paths will appear on the left. One leads to an upper level with another marked plank, while the second also reveals a wooden panel ahead. Gently nudge the first ramp into place without pushing too far forward. After that, return and flip the second plank to form a bridge.
This newly formed path will bring you directly to the generator. Using your vehicle’s winch, connect the generator to the rear and begin moving it.
Before exiting, look for a final wooden barrier on the left. Drive through it to descend via another ramp, which leads directly to the designated drop-off area within the facility.
Completing the Objective and Earning Rewards
Once you’ve transported the generator to the mission’s drop zone, the task is officially marked as complete. The success is met with a reward of 1,200 XP and $2,520 in-game currency, giving you a solid start in your RoadCraft journey.
