GeoGuessr, the popular geography-based guessing game, has announced its exciting plans for the 2026 esports season. Fans of the game can look forward to a comprehensive competitive circuit that promises to be engaging and challenging.
GeoGuessr 2026 Esports Circuit Details
Kicking off in January and running through September, the GeoGuessr esports circuit will culminate in the highly anticipated GeoGuessr World Championship 2026, scheduled from September 2nd to 5th in Berlin, Germany. The circuit is structured around three main pillars, beginning with regional World Leagues spread across EMEA, Americas, and APAC. These leagues will run from January to June, with each region competing separately to crown their champions. A total of 44 players, including 22 from last season, will compete in the 2026 World League, which will now use a Swiss system instead of the traditional round-robin format.
Points from the World League will be crucial as they determine the 16 players who will qualify directly for the World Finals and those who must compete in the Play-Ins. This last-chance qualifier will finalize the lineup for the season-ending World Finals.
