Global Esports, a VCT-affiliated organization, has revealed three major appointments to its leadership team, targeting key areas such as operations, revenue generation, and regional growth. These strategic additions are part of the India-based organization’s broader initiative to enhance its presence in content creation and international competitive gaming.
According to an official statement, the organization declared this move as the next step in its journey—from Mumbai to Seoul and beyond—highlighting it as the beginning of a new phase of global expansion with its strongest leadership lineup to date.
Key Figures Join the Team
Rob Stamey, known for his prior roles at G2 Esports, DarkZero, and Ghost Gaming, has taken up the role of Global Head of Operations. Stamey remarked that since its inception in 2017, Global Esports has become India’s most accomplished esports team. He emphasized that the next phase would focus on accelerated growth, expanded content, and further international competitive engagement.
Minseong ‘Unknown’ Kim, who had already been involved with the VALORANT squad, has now officially stepped into the roles of Assistant General Manager and Director of Korean Operations. Kim acknowledged the current challenges faced by the team and assured fans that he is committed to making Global Esports a team that garners pride and admiration. His extensive background in the Korean esports scene, particularly in titles like Overwatch and League of Legends, positions him to play a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s presence in South Korea.
Additionally, Amitesh Dayal, who became part of the company in mid-2024, has been named Director of Revenue and Strategy. Dayal stated that Global Esports is leading the gaming evolution in the region and expressed his enthusiasm about steering the revenue and strategy efforts for what he referred to as India’s first profitable esports organization.
Expansion Plans Beyond VALORANT
Global Esports has also outlined its intentions to branch out into new intellectual properties, including other esports titles, although the organization clarified that the primary focus remains on VALORANT and participation in the VCT.
Rushindra Sinha, CEO of Global Esports, commented that while expansion into additional titles is on the horizon, it is not an immediate priority. He noted that the new leadership team is instrumental in evolving the organization into a sustainable business entity rather than remaining solely an esports squad. All three new appointees have already begun contributing to ongoing initiatives, and the company is looking forward to unveiling its future projects.
Regarding the potential of VALORANT Mobile, Sinha stated that the organization intends to actively explore the opportunity once the title officially launches, describing it as a significant chance for growth, particularly within India and South Asia.
Meanwhile, the current VALORANT roster is competing in the VCT Pacific Stage 1, striving to secure a spot at Masters Toronto, which would mark the team’s debut on the international VCT stage.
