GTA 6: Breaking Down Jason’s Strength and Fitness

The latest Grand Theft Auto VI trailer didn’t just tease the game’s chaotic open world—it also introduced fans to Jason, a protagonist who clearly spends serious time in the gym. The trailer opens with a shirtless Jason climbing down from a rooftop, showcasing his muscular arms, defined back, and well-built chest. While his identity isn’t explicitly confirmed, the assumption is strong that this is indeed Jason.

How Much Weight Can Jason Actually Bench?

Later in the trailer, Jason is seen at the beach lifting what appears to be an impressive 275 pounds. The weights, branded “GAINZ,” include 25-pound outer plates and what look like 45-pound inner plates. Combined with the standard 45-pound barbell, that totals 275 pounds—a weight that would turn heads in any gym.

In fitness circles, benching 225 pounds is often seen as a major milestone. Given Jason’s physique, it’s no surprise he’s pushing even heavier weight with ease.

Perfect Form and Gym Safety Concerns

Jason’s bench press technique is worth noting—his form is nearly flawless. He lowers the bar slowly and controlled, keeping his elbows tight rather than flaring them out. The weight moves in a steady, straight line, showing proper mechanics.

However, one risky detail stands out: Jason lifts without a spotter or safety rack. While this might be reckless for most, given his criminal lifestyle, heavy lifting might actually be one of his safer hobbies.

More Than Just a Gym Enthusiast

Jason isn’t all about gains—he also knows how to unwind. Another scene shows him lounging on a couch with beers nearby, and later, he and Lucia are seen partying at a club. It seems even virtual criminals believe in work-life balance (minus the illegal activities).

Could Weightlifting Be an In-Game Activity?

Rockstar Games often incorporates activities seen in trailers into gameplay. Since GTA V featured outdoor gyms, it’s plausible that pumping iron at the beach could be an option in GTA 6.
