Complete Guide to Locating and Using the Pawn Shop in Schedule 1

A major update released on April 10, 2025, introduced a brand-new feature to Hyland Point: a fully functional Pawn Shop operated by a character named Mick Lubbin. Thanks to this addition, players no longer need to dispose of outdated gear and unwanted items. Instead, they have the opportunity to engage with Mick and attempt to recover some value from previous purchases. This guide details where to locate the Pawn Shop, how to interact with Mick, and how to sell unused equipment effectively.

Where to Find the Pawn Shop in Schedule 1

The Pawn Shop is situated in a specific spot on the map, making it relatively easy to reach once the location is known. Positioned on the western edge of the map and the overpass, the shop can be found on the eastern side of the bridge connecting Northtown to Westville—a route occasionally blocked by police checkpoints. For those starting from the Motel Room, simply head south toward the waterfront and the dock area. Just before reaching the Warehouse, the Pawn Shop will appear on the right side.

Selling Old Gear to Mick

The Pawn Shop operates daily from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. During this time, players can visit to offload old items and equipment. Upon entering, pressing the interact button (E) initiates a conversation with Mick. A menu will appear with the option to sell, prompting the selection labeled: I’d like to sell something.

Once this option is selected, items from the player’s inventory can be moved into Mick’s for evaluation. However, the selling process is not as simple as exchanging items for a fixed amount of cash. Each piece of gear will display a price range instead of a single number. A button labeled Start will initiate the negotiation process.

How the Negotiation System Works

Negotiations begin with Mick examining the item in question and presenting an initial offer. The player can either accept this price or issue a counteroffer. Should a counteroffer be made, a bartering session begins, where Mick’s temper becomes a key factor to monitor.

A meter on the left side of the screen indicates Mick’s mood throughout the negotiation. Pushing this meter too far can result in Mick lashing out instead of completing the transaction. A safe strategy is to begin bargaining from the middle of the suggested price range. This gives an idea of how tolerant Mick is during the process. If the offer made frustrates him too much, the player can cancel and resume negotiations with a more conservative counter.

Additionally, even when Mick agrees to a new price, it’s possible to continue haggling to see if he’ll increase the offer further. The system allows for repeated attempts, rewarding strategic patience and attention to Mick’s reactions.

What to Do If Mick Doesn’t Appear

Though the Pawn Shop is advertised to be open from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Mick has previously been known to miss his shifts. Fortunately, with Patch v0.3.4f8, his routine was corrected, reducing instances of absence. However, if he still fails to show up, using the settime Console Command remains a reliable workaround. Testing various times within the designated hours often resolves the issue, allowing players to summon Mick successfully.

This new system brings a valuable gameplay dynamic by allowing resource recovery and introducing a skill-based negotiation mechanic—making each visit to Mick’s shop both practical and engaging.
