Halo Unveils Competitive Gaming Plans for 2026

Halo is gearing up for an exciting 2026 in the esports realm. Following the Halo Championship Series’ decision to move away from Halo Infinite, the franchise has laid out new plans to invigorate the competitive Halo scene. The introduction of grassroots tournaments and collaborations promises a thrilling year ahead for Halo fans.

Halo At DreamHack

Halo Studios has teamed up with ESL FACEIT Group to bring an open tournament to DreamHack Birmingham in 2026. This partnership aims to uphold the cherished grassroots competitive scene, offering tournaments across various Halo titles. DreamHack Birmingham 2026 will host four-versus-four, two-versus-two, and free-for-all tournaments, with online qualifiers leading up to the main event from March 27th to 29th at the NEC. Tahir ‘Tashi’ Hasangjekaj, Director of Competitive Engagement at Halo Studios, expressed enthusiasm, noting the long-standing relationship between Halo and DreamHack. Moreover, Halo plans to feature at another DreamHack event next year, though details remain undisclosed. Besides DreamHack, Halo has also joined forces with LVT and the European Halo League for additional grassroots efforts.

Halo Esports Partner Teams

Halo’s commitment to the esports community extends beyond DreamHack. The HCS has allied with four prominent North American esports organizations: Shopify Rebellion, Spacestation Gaming, FaZe Clan, and Cloud9. These partnerships aim to amplify the Halo esports experience throughout 2026. Although specifics about community-focused initiatives have yet to be unveiled, it’s apparent that Halo Studios is devoted to nurturing the community via grassroots tournaments and partnerships across Europe and North America.
