Eminem Joins HITMAN: World of Assassination

In a fascinating turn, players can now target Eminem in a limited-time mission. This fresh update, free for all players, is making waves in the gaming community. The mission is part of the ongoing efforts by IO Interactive to keep the HITMAN series engaging with unique updates and challenges.

Future of HITMAN and IO Interactive’s Plans

According to recent reports, IO Interactive’s CEO Hakan Abrak has hinted at more HITMAN content, though the studio is currently focused on other projects like 007 First Light and an unnamed online fantasy RPG. Abrak mentioned, “Of course there will be more HITMAN, but right now, I think we need to get to the other side of this year, and next year you’ll get more news about co-op, because I think co-op is a really, really good extension to the universe, and will introduce very interesting mechanics and combinations in World of Assassination. But we will, after that, be talking about the next HITMAN.”

IO Interactive’s Commitment to Originality

IO Interactive is known for its dedication to original IPs, with 007 being the only external franchise they’re currently developing. Abrak stated that 007 fits perfectly with their expertise, having spent years perfecting the agent experience. Despite this, HITMAN remains the studio’s flagship series, cherished by the team and fans alike.

007 First Light is set to release on March 27, 2026. This upcoming game promises a more linear experience, drawing inspiration from narrative-driven titles like the Uncharted series.
