Arrakis is a huge desert planet that acts as a sandbox for players to do whatever they want.  As soon as you begin your journey in Dune Awakening, you instantly see how massive this barren landscape is.  Getting vehicle after unlocks like Sandbikes and Ornithopters will make travelling easier in the game, however they do take some time to unlock and still incur a lot of travel time across the distance within the map.

If you talk to these pilots, you can find out where they fly to. Players will be allowed exclusive access to important faction strongholds like Harko Village, which serves as the Harkonnen headquarters, and Arrakeen, the main Atreides settlement, before acquiring their own Ornithopter aircraft.

Transportation Costs and Pricing Structure

The quick mode of transportation is good, but it comes with a price. The price depends upon different locations. The pricing is based on the distance and strategic relevance of places in the desert.

Travel expenses range from free flights in some cases to bigger costs for major settlements. For example, to travel to Harko Village would cost $2,500 Solari, and certain regional trips like Hagga’s Basin may not cost anything.

The key locations and their prices are Griffin’s Reach ($700 Solari), Pinnacle Station ($700 Solari), and The Anvil ($700 Solari). Transport times on Arrakis vary significantly.

The major faction capitals charge top dollar, Harko Village and Arrakeen require $2,500 Solari to cross.

Although fast-traveling is often a simpler solution, players should think about how and when to actually use it. Using them frequently will have an impact on your Solari reserves, so keep that in mind when planning your expeditions.
