Intel’s latest update brings exciting news for gamers and developers. With the introduction of the XeSS SDK 2.1.1, Intel Meteor Lake’s integrated GPUs are now equipped to handle XeSS Frame Generation, enhancing gaming performance without requiring full XMX tensor engines. Unleashing XeSS Frame Generation on Meteor Lake

Thanks to the newly released XeSS SDK 2.1.1, Intel Meteor Lake’s iGPUs can now support XeSS Frame Generation, a feature that significantly enhances gaming fluidity by inserting artificial frames between real ones. Unlike its predecessors, Meteor Lake does not have dedicated XMX tensor engines, which are present in Intel’s Discrete Arc GPUs. Instead, it utilizes the DPAS AI units or XMX-Lite, which initially limited its capability to support this feature. The latest SDK update optimizes these units, allowing for frame generation despite the absence of full tensor hardware.
