Chinese manufacturers are shaking up the market by launching new affordable AMD AM5 motherboards featuring the B850 and B650 chipsets, each priced under $100. These budget-friendly options promise not only excellent performance but also great value for gamers and PC builders.
Innovative and Budget-Friendly Motherboard Options
As major brands release enhanced versions of AMD AM5 motherboards with superior VRM, IO, and cooling, entry-level models aim to pack features into more budget-conscious offerings. JGINYUE is leading the charge with its new Aurora lineup, introducing the B850M Aurora-B and B650EM Aurora motherboards. Both models share similar specs, differing primarily in color—the B850 is black, while the B650E is white.

Both motherboards feature an mATX form factor and an 8+2+1 phase DrMOS VRM, utilizing an AM5 socket powered by a single 8-pin EPS connector. They support Ryzen 9000, 8000, and 7000 CPUs. The two DDR5 DIMM slots allow for frequencies up to 8000 MT/s (OC) and capacities up to 96 GB.
Advanced Features and Competitive Pricing
The board amenities include dual PCIe x16 (5.0 / 4.0) slots and three M.2 slots (1x 5.0×4 / 2x 4.0×4), with the primary M.2 slot boasting a pre-installed heatsink. The included features are rounded out with 2.5GbE LAN, USB Type-C, and support for a WiFi adapter with dual antennas. In addition, four ARGB headers and DEBUG LEDs are present, providing a comprehensive and customizable experience.
The highlight of these offerings is their pricing, with the B850 model at 496 RMB and the B650E at 485 RMB, translating to just $70 USD—substantially less than the current US market prices, saving around $30 USD. This price difference is significant for those building on a budget. Although these models are not yet available worldwide, a broader release could position them as highly sought-after choices.
