Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Reaches Astounding 3 Million Sales Milestone

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has proven itself a remarkable phenomenon in the gaming world, with Warhorse Studios recently announcing the medieval RPG has surpassed three million copies sold. This impressive figure means there are now over three million versions of the protagonist Henry causing havoc throughout medieval Europe.

This multiversal concept was acknowledged by Warhorse Studios’ creative director Daniel Vavra, who remarked that we might be living in a simulation with three million versions of Henry, all similar yet different with varying outcomes.

These three million Henries have certainly been busy. According to statistics released by Warhorse Studios as of 4th May, players have collectively picked nearly 195 million locks, pickpocketed 132.3 million items, and stolen over 38.5 billion objects. They’ve also spent a staggering 387 million hours in an inebriated state, during which they’ve dispatched more than four million unfortunate souls.

A Body Count That Rivals Historical Disasters

However, that figure represents only a small fraction of Henry’s total casualties, which stands at an overwhelming 489 million. Warhorse Studios put this into historical perspective by noting that Henry has proven more deadly than the Black Plague when it comes to killing.

For historical context, the Black Plague, one of humanity’s most devastating pandemics, is estimated to have claimed up to 50 million lives over approximately seven years. Henry’s destructive path has far exceeded this grim benchmark.

The ongoing sales triumph of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 must be tremendously exciting for everyone at Warhorse Studios, particularly for Luke Dale, the voice actor portraying Henry’s companion Hans. Dale was possibly the only person celebrating last week’s Grand Theft Auto 6 delay. While the gaming community lamented the extended wait for Rockstar’s latest title, Dale kept his focus on the positive—a field of “game of the year” contenders that suddenly became significantly less crowded.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 launched with remarkable momentum, achieving over one million sales in its first day—a milestone that took the original game 10 days to reach. Nevertheless, the first Kingdom Come: Deliverance has established itself as a major success with impressive longevity, with Warhorse revealing it has now exceeded 10 million copies sold.
