For fans of “Death Stranding” eager to step into the shoes of Sam Porter, an exciting new collaboration brings the game’s futuristic world closer to reality. Kojima Productions has teamed up with exoskeleton manufacturer Dnsys to create the Death Stranding 2 On The Beach limited edition exoskeleton. This unique piece of equipment is designed to provide knee support, much like the exoskeleton worn by Sam in the game.
A Bold New Reality
On November 8, Kojima Productions teased this unexpected partnership with Dnsys through their official channels, hinting at “a new experience that bridges the game and the real world.” Fans speculated about the nature of this collaboration, with guesses ranging from immersive headsets to specialized gaming chairs. Upon closer examination, some observant fans noticed a resemblance to Sam’s exoskeleton from the game.

From Concept to Creation
As detailed in Kojima Productions’ latest announcements, the collaboration with Dnsys has resulted in a real-world exoskeleton. Crafted under the artistic guidance of Yoji Shinkawa, Kojima Productions’ art director, the exoskeleton is aesthetically aligned with the game’s vision. Shinkawa shared, “We designed this exoskeleton with the same passion and precision as if it were built for the world of Death Stranding. Every detail was refined to bring the game’s futuristic vision into reality, creating something Sam himself might wear.” The device is equipped with battery power and lights to indicate charge levels, reminiscent of the in-game technology. Though it doesn’t come with a Bridge Baby, it remains a cutting-edge piece of tech.
Beyond Cosplay
While it’s an ideal accessory for any Sam Porter cosplay, the Death Stranding 2 exoskeleton is also a practical tool. Dnsys explains on their website that the device enhances lower body strength and reduces strain on the knee joints by redistributing the user’s weight. This technology mimics the game’s load-balancing mechanics, offering real-life benefits such as making the user “instantly feel up to 44 pounds lighter,” which could be particularly appealing after holiday indulgence.
The Death Stranding 2: On The Beach Limited Edition Exoskeleton is set to launch globally on December 2. Pricing details are yet to be unveiled, but Dnsys is hosting a creative competition where three lucky participants can win one of these innovative exoskeletons. More information is available at the bottom of their product page.
