Kyedae Shymko, a prominent figure in the VALORANT streaming community, has officially announced an indefinite pause in her streaming career. The decision, made public on April 18, 2025, stems from ongoing health concerns and a renewed dedication to her professional esports journey, particularly within the Game Changers tournament circuit.
The update was shared through her official social media platform, where she explained that stepping back from streaming is something she has been considering for a long time. According to her, those who know her well would not be surprised by the decision, as streaming was never her ultimate goal.
She explained that before becoming a well-known streamer, her academic path was set toward medical school. “Streaming wasn’t the dream,” Kyedae expressed, adding that although she appreciated the opportunities it brought, she increasingly felt distant from it over time. Initially setting aside her studies to explore a career in online content creation, she gradually developed mixed feelings about the lifestyle, which ultimately led to her decision.
Kyedae’s streaming activity had already seen a noticeable decline in recent months. During March, she streamed just three times, and only once so far in April. She noted that this shift has had a positive effect on her mental and emotional well-being, saying she hadn’t felt this content and at ease in years. She concluded her message by expressing gratitude to her followers for their ongoing support and encouraged them to prioritize their own happiness and health.

Career Highlights and Future in Esports
Kyedae launched her streaming career in 2020, captivating audiences with gameplay from VALORANT and engaging cooking streams. Over four years, she amassed a following of more than 3 million on Twitch and became a respected name in the esports community. Her partnership with the prominent esports organization 100 Thieves helped further cement her influence in the industry.
Currently, Kyedae is competing in the Game Changers 2025 North America Stage 1, representing the Teevee roster. The team entered through Open Qualifiers and has remained undefeated in the Swiss Stage, striving for a place in the Main Event. Her transition from full-time streaming to focused competition reflects a strategic shift aimed at personal fulfillment and professional growth.
