The Los Angeles Thieves have claimed their second consecutive Major title in the 2025 Call of Duty League season, triumphing over Atlanta FaZe in a 4-2 showdown during CDL Major 4, held at DreamHack Dallas.
Despite entering the event as the fourth seed after the qualifiers, LA Thieves defied expectations by overcoming the favored Atlanta FaZe in the final match. Along with the title, the team walked away with $150,000 in prize money and crucial CDL Points.
Road to Victory: Overcoming Setbacks
After their Major 3 win in April, all attention was on whether the Thieves could maintain momentum. They started Major 4 in the upper bracket quarterfinals and immediately made a strong impression by sweeping Vancouver Surge 3-0.
However, their path wasn’t without obstacles. A hard-fought 3-2 loss to the surging Miami Heretics knocked the team into the lower bracket. There, LA Thieves regrouped and eliminated both Toronto Ultra and 2024 champion OpTic Texas with identical 3-1 results.
Miami Heretics would again become part of their journey. After the Spanish squad lost to Atlanta FaZe in the upper bracket final, LA Thieves got a chance at redemption — and took it with a flawless 3-0 victory.
