Magic Chess: Go Go At SEA Games
Magic Chess: Go Go will be showcased on the opening day of the SEA Games in Bangkok, Thailand, on December 12th, 2025. Instead of a standard tournament, spectators will be treated to a thrilling demonstration match featuring top players from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines. This event underscores the growing recognition of esports, as MCGG joins other popular titles like Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Free Fire, and FC Online in the lineup of medalled esports events.
“We’re incredibly proud that MCGG has earned its place on a prestigious stage like the SEA Games,” said Ray Ng, Head of Esports Ecosystems at MOONTON Games. The company launched MCGG globally in May and has been steadily building an esports ecosystem, including the first in-game qualifiers for international tournaments as part of its Season 3 update.
Magic Chess: Go Go World Championship
In tandem with its SEA Games debut, MOONTON Games is propelling MCGG to new heights with the announcement of the GO1 World Championship. This inaugural offline international tournament will feature 24 players vying for the title of world champion. The Grand Final will be the highlight of the M7 Carnival, scheduled for January 25th, 2026, celebrating the M7 World Championship for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. Fans can anticipate an array of interactive experiences and watch parties during this grand event.
Gao ‘Skyhook’ Chong, MCGG Producer at MOONTON Games, expressed excitement about the championship: “Launching the GO1 World Championship is a proud moment for everyone on the team.
