Fans will need to wait a bit longer for Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, as Skydance Games has announced a delay pushing its launch into early 2026. Originally slated for a 2025 release, the studio confirmed the shift, explaining that the extra time will allow the team to refine the experience.
A recent statement from Skydance hinted that more details—possibly including fresh gameplay footage—could be coming soon. This narrative-driven adventure brings together an intriguing cast of characters, including Captain America, Azzuri (the 1940s Black Panther), Howling Commando Gabriel Jones, and Nanali, a Wakandan spy operating in Nazi-occupied Paris.
A Closer Look at the Ambitious Marvel Project
First revealed in early 2024 during a major industry event, Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra immediately captured attention with its cinematic trailer. The game is being developed under the leadership of industry veteran Amy Hennig, known for her work on Uncharted, alongside Skydance co-president Julian Beak.
While anticipation builds for this World War II-era Marvel adventure, Hennig’s team is also working on another major project—an undisclosed Star Wars game that remains shrouded in mystery.
